In the era of racist, body shaming, and every kind of chauvinism in the world is it time to feed on it or to cure it? Unfortunately, many stars are instantly blinded by the factor of money and stardom.
Yes, the actor Kartik Aaryan has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the Emami Fair And Handsome replacing Hrithik Roshan. Now he will endorse their range of men's products.
Firstly, he brought woman hatred amongst men with almost all of his movies and now he is becoming the brand ambassador of the fairness cream Emami Fair And Handsome. After basking in the appreciation coming his way for "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety", he is going the wrong way with the newfound stardom.
Just before a year ago, Abhay Deol called out all the celebs who endorsed fairness product but it seems like nothing is changing so fast. Many celebs have over the years stopped endorsing such products for the moral good.
Kartik is obviously overwhelmed by all the love people showered on him after watching the film. When SKTKS hit the Rs 100 crore mark, he gave out a statement thanking all. He said, “My first 100 crore film… Dreamt of this day for a long, long time… and it’s all coming true now. Some people were supportive and some people laughed when things were not working out and that’s okay… the ups, the downs, they’re all mine… they are all a part of my journey and it’s been a beautiful journey so far.”
Mohan Goenka, Director, Emami Ltd, said: "We are happy to be associated with one of the most promising and upcoming stars in Bollywood Kartik Aaryan. We are confident this association will enable the brand to strengthen its relationship with the young audience. Kartik will be the face of Fair and Handsome Laser 12."
A star would only be able to sustain its stardom when he/she doesn't have any biases for their audience. Stardom brings a lot of responsibility with itself and Karthik is surely not the one who understands it. Endorsing a fairness brand is so wrong for the society on so many levels that it saddens to even hear such stories.
