Priyanka Chopra started her cinematic journey just after winning the Miss World 2000 pageant with the South Indian movie 'Thamizhan' opposite Surya. It was her Bollywood debut which established her strengths and zest for movies.
Do you know why Priyanka Chopra has a bold image despite choosing softer characters in multiple films? It is because she has been authentic in her characters. She started her career with negative roles in 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy' and 'Andaaz' . It could have jeopardized her career but she pulled it off with complete ooze. 3. Fashion - Meghna Mathur
Fashion was a complete game changer for her career. Here, she was not only playing a strong woman but here she was struggling, winning, losing, vulnerable, broken and the character was full of ups and downs. This character made her win the National Award as well.
4. 7 Khoon Maaf - Susanna
Honing the many shades of human personalities, she played the role of Susanna in this Vishal Bhardwaj film. In this movie, she played the role of a teenager to the last days of her character, and she played all of them with perfection.
5. Barfi! - Jhilmil Chatterjee
Another movie that proved her mettle was 'Barfi'. Jhilmil, an autistic girl played by Priyanka Chopra surprised the audience thoroughly. The character gained much praise from critics, audience and surely have shut down the haters.
6. Mary Kom - Mary Kom
Based on the life of female Indian boxer Mary Kom, Piggy Chops nailed the character. Starting from learning boxing and the Assamese-Hindi dialect, the movie was entirely on her shoulder.
7. Bajirao Mastani - Kashibai
The combination of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Peecee made this beautiful character which was full of dignity and poise. Priyanka played this role with a lot of grace and no one could take eyes off her.
