Varun Dhawan is collaborating with director Shashank Khaitaan for the third time after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film, titled Rannbhoomi, will have Varun playing a warrior, while Karan Johar, who gave Varun his big break, is bankrolling the project under his banner, Dharma Productions. But as for the actress of the film, we will have to wait for an official announcement. As we play the waiting game, we thought why not ask you as to what you really want. So as the drill goes, we thought of some actresses, who could be paired opposite Varun. So here we go:
Varun and Alia have worked together in three films. Interestingly, two of them (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania) were directed by Shashank, who, by now, must have a great rapport with both of them. Thankfully, both the films in the Dulhania series have worked well with the critics and masses alike. It only makes sense that Alia comes on-board for Rannbhoomi too, not only because the trio is comfortable with each other, but also because Varun and Alia share a crackling chemistry and fans can’t get enough of them together.
Shraddha and Varun are childhood friends. They were loved when they came together for Remo D’souza’s ABCD 2. Ever since then, fans have been waiting to see them on screen again and Rannbhoomi can serve as the perfect opportunity, no?
Varun formed a Katrina Kaif hate club, and Arjun Kapoor was a member of it. The revelation was made by the actress herself when she made an appearance on KJo’s chat show, Koffee With Karan. The reason for forming such a club was pretty childish. However, recently, when Katrina shared a picture with Varun and Arjun on her Instagram account, we realised that the three have come a very long way since then. Now that the hate club doesn’t exist anymore, Katrina and Varun can finally collaborate. And if at all the actress is playing a warrior of sorts in the film, Katrina won’t have any difficulty in learning sword-fighting as she had wielded the sword with much aplomb in Tiger Zinda Hai.
This will be as fresh as it can get. Bhumi and Varun together in Rannbhoomi might just the perfect choice. Bhumi has proved her mettle with her filmography and it will be really interesting to see her chemistry with Varun on screen. I am personally rooting for this one.
Sara Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan was rumoured to make her big Bollywood debut with a Karan Johar film. Word had it that she was to play one of the two female leads in Student Of The Year 2. But she chose Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput to make her silver screen debut. They shot two schedules of the movie, but recently, it was announced that the movie has been put on hold due to a tiff between Abhishek and producer, Prernaa Arora. Trade circle insiders suggest that the movie has been shelved. Maybe now it’s the time for Sara to go back to her original plan.
