Can you ever imagine striking a conversation over Twitter can lead to something serious such as marriage! If you answer is NO, then you are wrong because this Atlanta- based couple found their love on Twitter and made it official too!
It all started back in 2013 when they exchanged some twitter chitchat.
Yet when Dalmia responded to his tweet, they hit it off right away. However, 140 characters just wasn't sufficient to hold their chemistry, and soon tweets gave way to texts, phone calls, and ultimately dates. And they feel head-over-heels for each other in no time, leading to marriage.
Right from their proposal ( which was in full Twitter-style) to their marriage, it was the main spot!
Even the big question-“ Will you marry me?” was quoted under Twitter's 140 character limit.
When the tweet-sweethearts wed last November at the Marriott Evergreen Resort in Atlanta in front of about 450 guests, they made it certain that social network is part of their marriage in a grand way. So, they had a one-of –its-kind Twitter-themed wedding which included six wedding events over three days.
They also had blue-hued specialty cocktails, a cake topper and a SnapChat filter that was a jiggle to Twitter.
The wedding had cute Bluebird bites featuring Twitter-themed snacks, including these rolled ice cream treats with Twitter symbol cookies.
In customary Indian fashion, the couple held a mehndi ritual, during which an artist decorates the marriage party in mehndi, plus a western-style reception too!
Their smile and happiness were the high light of the party, which was attended by a large crowd of friend and family.
The whole affair was suitably cheesy while still quite elegant. It seems there could be no better illustration of these 'tweet-hearts.'!
